The son of Chino, he was born in Florence in 1904. He obtained his diploma at the School of Arts in Piazza Santa Croce in Firenze, where he had Libero Andreotti as his master. Also, in the same city he attended the Academy of Art, following the teaching of Domenico Trentacoste. His role in the manufacture was that of a modeller. Together with his brother, Tito, he tried to give a new mark to the production idealizing new originals with a decorative and structural repertoire, which was very different from that of Galileo. He was the author of the small plastic art which decorated the vases of the period after 1920. Numerous realizations for setting up expositions like that in Paris in 1925, where he modelled the decorations idealized by Galileo, were thanks to him. At the Exhibition in Antwerp in 1930, he was the author of the decoration consisting of large stylized palms for the gateway of the pavilion of the colonies. Until his death he continued to carry out an appreciable activity in the ceramic sector in Borgo San Lorenzo, together with his son, Vieri.
